Twin musicians Ari and Ethan Gold—known on stage as The Brothers Gold—craft a one-of-kind live musical that exists somewhere between fact and fiction. Inspired by the live cinema of Francis Ford Coppola who executive produces the film, Brother Verses Brother follows the siblings as they set out through San Francisco’s North Beach searching for their missing father, poet Herbert Gold, on the way to a gig. Their journey becomes a musical odyssey through the city’s streets, revealing the tensions and bonds between them as they perform along the way. Filmed in a single continuous take, the movie is both an inventive cinematic experiment and a heartfelt tribute to San Francisco and music’s power to unite.
