Tsirk Dobranotch is a unique musical circus ensemble bringing together the legendary Klezmer band Dobranotch and three interdisciplinary circus artists. Rooted in nearly 30 years of Dobranotch’s international touring history, the project combines live Klezmer music with contemporary circus, physical theatre, mime, dance, and aerial acrobatics.
Inspired by the traditions of Yiddish theatre, street performance, and folk celebration, the ensemble creates a vibrant and deeply human stage experience filled with humor, poetry, and emotional intensity. Every scene is performed to live music, allowing the musicians and circus performers to interact organically and transform the stage into a constantly evolving world of movement and sound.
All members of the ensemble share migration backgrounds, and the performance reflects themes of exile, travel, belonging, and cultural memory. Through joyful chaos, touching moments, and energetic musical storytelling, Tsirk Dobranotch celebrates resilience, diversity, and the power of human connection.
The result is a colorful and unforgettable performance where concert, theatre, and circus merge into one exuberant celebration of life.
