Join us for an after hours Balkan brass dance party with Macedonian Trumpet virtuoso Nizo Alimov and his stellar band. Born and raised in Štip, Macedonia, Alimov is a master of Balkan and Turkish Romani music. He moved to Toronto after years of performing and touring with Koçani Orkestar – the internationally-acclaimed Macedonian Roma Brass band. He’s both an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and an enthusiastic and generous teacher of the traditions he was raised in. Alimov has performed in 130 countries, and can count thousands of hours of playing experience in brass bands during weddings and concerts showcasing the breadth of Balkan brass music globally.
